Marten Geertsema

Marten Geertsema serves as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Earth Sciences at Simon Fraser University and works as a geohazards specialist with the British Columbia Ministry of Forests, bridging academic research and practical hazard management.

His research encompasses critical geohazard domains:

• Landslide tsunamis and glacial lake outburst floods
• Disaster response protocols and emergency management systems
