Marta Zoppello

Marta Zoppello is a Fixed-term tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences (DISMA) at Politecnico di Torino. She is actively involved in teaching and research, with affiliations across multiple academic programs including Mathematical Engineering and Architecture.

Her research focuses on Geometric Control Theory, Optimal Control, Fluid-Solid Interaction, and Biomechanics, particularly in the context of micro-swimming and dynamical systems with hysteresis and symmetry. She develops mathematical models to understand locomotion, morphogenesis, and control mechanisms in physical and biological systems.
