Marta Wieczorek

Dr. Marta Wieczorek is a Teaching Professor at the University of Physical Education in Wrocław, where she has worked since 1993. She currently serves as Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport for the 2024-2028 term and previously held roles including Vice-Dean for Science and Director of the Institute of School Education. She leads the Department of Social Foundations of Physical Culture and coordinates the Ministry of National Education's expert team for physical education core curriculum development.

• Education: Doctorate (1997) and postdoctoral degree (2013) in Physical Education Sciences; postgraduate studies in corrective-compensatory gymnastics, disability rehabilitation, and management psychology

Her research focuses on psycho-physical development of individuals with disabilities and conditions for effective motor learning. She has collaborated extensively with educational institutions and social organizations to promote physical activity for disabled populations, including establishing the Special Olympics Volunteer Center at her university.

Major scientific contributions include a habilitation grant project titled 'Assessment of selected parameters of morphological and motor development of deaf children and adolescents in Poland' (Ministry of Science and Higher Education, 2008-2011). She has participated in over 50 international/national conferences and completed 11 research internships abroad.
