Marta Vignola

Marta Vignola is an Associate Professor of Criminology and Sociology of Law at the University of Salento's Department of History, Society and Human Studies. She holds a PhD in Social Theory and Research and a Master's in Human Rights and Humanitarian Intervention from the University of Bologna. Her research focuses on social movements, legal change, collective memory, and human rights, with particular attention to Latin America. She has conducted fieldwork with NGOs such as Terre des Hommes and has been a visiting researcher at institutions like the Université Libre de Bruxelles and Universidad Pablo de Olavide.

Her editorial roles include contributions to journals like PACO - Partecipazione&Conflitto and Nomadas Revista Critica de Ciencias Sociales y Juridicas. She teaches courses on criminology, human rights, and deviance, emphasizing critical perspectives on legal systems and social justice.
