Professor Marta Moskal holds the chair of Migration and Diversity in the School of Education at the University of Glasgow. Her career includes previous roles at Durham University (2017–2020), and postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Edinburgh (2006–2016). She earned a PhD in Geography from Jagiellonian University (Kraków, 2004) and trained in Sociology and Public Policy at the University of Montpellier.
Research Interests: Her work focuses on social marginalization, belonging, and migration dynamics. Key themes include transnationalism, refugee education, international student mobilities, and family engagement. She employs mixed-methods approaches, including visual ethnography and participatory research with children.
Grants & Leadership: Led EU-funded projects like Inter4Ref (CVET for refugee interpreters) and ReCulm (intercultural mediators training). Awarded the Erasmus+ Good Practice Award (2018–2021) and the Foundation for Polish Science’s Early Career Award (2006).
Teaching: Convenes courses on Comparative Education, Sustainable Development in Education, and Contemporary Issues in Education. Supervises doctoral students exploring topics like refugee inclusion, international student experiences, and environmental education.
Publications: Over 70 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in journals like *Global Networks*, *Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies*, and *Children's Geographies*. Her work bridges migration studies, education policy, and sociocultural geography.
