Marta M. Marques

Marta M. Marques is an Assistant Professor at the National School of Public Health (ENSP NOVA) in the Department of Health Promotion and Behavioral Sciences. She is affiliated with the Comprehensive Health Research Centre (CHRC) and collaborates with the Centre for Behavior Change at University College London. Her research focuses on advancing behavioral science through methodological and theoretical development, particularly in designing and evaluating complex interventions, including digital tools, to modify health behaviors in public health contexts.

Research Interests

Marta’s work emphasizes behavioral science innovation, digital health interventions, and the evaluation of strategies to address public health challenges. She applies these methodologies to community outreach initiatives like Cities Changing Diabetes and contributes to international research consortia funded by programs such as Horizon Europe.
