Marta Lucchetti

Marta Lucchetti is a Researcher at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), affiliated with the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences and the EU-China Higher Education Research Center (ECHE). She holds a PhD in Educational Science and focuses on academic leadership dynamics, gender inequality in higher education, and digital pedagogy innovation. Her work combines qualitative methodologies like thematic analysis with practical educational design.

Her research emphasizes barriers to gender equity in academic leadership roles, leveraging MOOC discussion forums as data sources. She also explores digital pedagogy theories and their application in blended learning environments, contributing to EU-funded projects like E-Teach. Through collaborative initiatives such as the E-Teach Certificate Training Program, she promotes teacher upskilling across Europe.
