Marta Bichowska-Pawęska

Marta Bichowska-Pawęska is a faculty member at the University of Physical Education and Sport in Gdańsk, currently serving as Head of the Biophysics subject within the Department of Biomechanics and Sports Engineering (2024–present). She has held roles as a lecturer at the same institution since 2019 and previously at the Higher Sports School in Łódź (2015–2018). Her research focuses on blood flow restriction training, sports biomechanics, and exercise physiology, with notable projects including the POWER initiative co-financed by the European Social Fund.

Her educational background includes doctoral studies at the Academy of Physical Education and Sport in Gdańsk (2010–2015). Key collaborations include work with the 13-time Polish Women’s Floorball Champion team and the Military Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology in Warsaw (2018–2019). Her publications span topics like muscle-tendon mechanics, cardiovascular responses to resistance training, and ischemic conditioning effects.
