Marshall Chasin is an Associate Professor of Audiology at the University of Western Ontario and an Adjunct Professor of Linguistics at the University of Toronto. He serves as Director of Research and Chief Audiologist at the Musicians' Clinics of Canada, focusing on hearing loss prevention and audiological research. His work emphasizes hearing protection for musicians, hearing aid design for music lovers, and noise-induced hearing loss prevention. He has been a pivotal member of the Hearing Instrument Review Panel in Ontario since its inception.
Dr. Chasin holds a Doctor of Audiology (AuD) and has authored five books and numerous peer-reviewed articles. His research spans acoustics, hearing conservation, and language-specific hearing aid fittings. Awards include the 2004 Audiology Foundation of America Professional Leadership Award and the 2012 Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Award. He operates four clinical facilities in Toronto through Marshall Chasin and Associates, specializing in hearing solutions for musicians and occupational noise exposure.
