Dr. Marlyn Allicock is an Associate Professor at UTHealth Houston School of Public Health (Dallas Campus), specializing in cancer prevention and control with a focus on health equity. Her research develops interventions promoting healthy diets and physical activity in minority/underserved populations, utilizing technology-based approaches and community settings like churches and clinics.
Current Projects: 1) Salud en Mis Manos Dissemination - breast/cervical cancer education for Latinas; 2) CHAT - smartphone program for healthy eating/activity in African American breast cancer survivors. She also contributes to adolescent and young adult cancer research through the AYA STAR Lab.
