Marlies Patz

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Marlies Patz is a Professor of Manufacturing Engineering and Automation Technology at EAH Jena's Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. She holds a Dr.-Ing. (cum laude) from Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena and has over 30 years of academic and industry experience. Her career includes leadership roles at the Gesellschaft für Fertigungstechnik und Entwicklung (GFE) Schmalkalden e.V., where she led research projects on precision machining, tool design, and hard material processing.
