Marleni Feinstein

Marleni Feinstein is a Lecturer of English in the Department of English at Lycoming College, where she contributes to undergraduate education in literature and writing. She brings an international perspective to her teaching, having been born and raised in Singapore and later pursuing graduate studies in the United States.

Her academic and professional background spans literature, library science, and composition studies. Fluent in Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, and several Indonesian dialects, she integrates multilingual and multicultural perspectives into her pedagogy and student engagement. Her teaching experience includes roles at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis and in Indiana University’s Distance Learning Program.

Ms. Feinstein is also deeply committed to community service, having served for nine years as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for abused and neglected children in Lycoming County, demonstrating her dedication beyond the academic sphere.

While no scholarly publications or research grants are listed, her interdisciplinary training and advocacy work reflect a strong commitment to education and social justice. She continues to teach and mentor students at Lycoming College.
