Marlene Metzler

Marlene Metzler is a doctoral researcher at the University of Salzburg, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Department of Sport Science and Kinesiology. She is part of the Doctorate School PLUS research group 'On the move: People, objects, signs', focusing on trend sports development in Salzburg's tourism sector.

Her research explores the potentials, scenarios, and future perspectives of emerging sports in regional tourism, integrating interdisciplinary approaches from sports science, economics, and environmental studies. She is supervised by Associate Prof. Dr. Minas Dimitriou and began her studies in the Winter semester 2018/19.
