Marlen Tynaliev

Marlen Tynaliev is a Doctoral Researcher at IAMO and part of the External Environment for Agriculture and Policy Analysis department. Since October 2023, he has conducted research under the UCA-DAAD Doctoral Scholarship Programme, focusing on behavioral drivers for sustainable agricultural adoption among smallholders in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Education:

His studies aim to bridge behavioral insights with policy design for sustainable rural development.

Professional Experience: Prior to IAMO, he served as a specialist, expert, and project manager at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO UN) in the Kyrgyz Republic, concentrating on food security and nutrition. His work at IAMO builds on this experience to address systemic challenges in agricultural sustainability.
