Marleen Kragting

Marleen Kragting is a Lecturer in Criminology at VU University Amsterdam and a PhD Candidate at the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR). Her work focuses on victimology, criminal justice, and psychosocial support systems for crime victims.

• Education: Master in Victimology and Criminal Justice (Tilburg University, 2019)
• Research Interests: Victim impact statements, agency-communion dynamics in victimology, evidence-based victim support, legislative use of empirical research, and psychosocial interventions.
• Publications: Contributions to studies on victim rights, restorative justice, and effectiveness of victim support services. Her recent work analyzes the intersection of victim agency and legal processes.
