Dr. Marla Thompson is an Adjunct Professor of Business and Marketing at Life University since 2010. She teaches courses in Marketing, Business, Ethics, and Diversity, emphasizing real-world application through Authentic Assessments (AAs). Her doctoral research focused on gender analysis of work ethic across Baby Boomers, Generation X, and Millennials, completed at Columbia Southern University (DBA, 2018). Thompson transitioned from a Marketing Event Coordinator role (2008–2010) to faculty, designing events like the 'LIFE Shining Star' talent show. She actively presents at the Lilly Conference for Teaching & Learning, sharing pedagogical strategies.
