معرفی
Markus Wöhr is a Professor at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, KU Leuven, leading the Social and Affective Neuroscience Research Group. His work focuses on neurobiological mechanisms of social behavior, ultrasonic vocalizations in rodents, and social-affective processing, with applications to neuropsychiatric disorders.

Research interests span translational models of affective and neurodevelopmental disorders, pharmacological targeting of dopamine/serotonin systems, genetic rescue models for autism (Nlgn3, Reelin), and microglia-neuron interactions. Recent projects include GeluidGoed! platform for rodent vocalization studies and Cacna1c haploinsufficiency research.

- 2025: Ultrasound Monitoring Platform
- 2023-2027: Autism Gene Studies
Publications emphasize ultrasonic vocalizations as biomarkers for emotional states, genetic underpinnings of social behavior, and pharmacological modulation of affective communication. Collaborative networks include UC Davis, Stanford University, and Philipps-Universität Marburg mentors.
