معرفی
Prof. Dr. Markus Ternes serves as Group Leader of the Atomic and Molecular Spin Systems research group within the Quantum Nanoscience (PGI-3) section of the Peter Grünberg Institute at Forschungszentrum Jülich. His position is based in Building 02.4w, Room 321, on the Jülich research campus.
His research centers on quantum spin phenomena at atomic and molecular scales, with core interests including:
- Spin dynamics and coherence in individual atoms/molecules
- Quantum sensing applications for information processing
- Advanced scanning probe microscopy techniques for spin manipulation
- Development of quantum computing components through nanoscale spin control
This work bridges fundamental quantum physics and next-generation spintronic device engineering, focusing on atomic-level precision for future quantum technologies.
