Markus Raab is a Professor of Psychology at the German Sport University Cologne, leading the Performance Psychology department within the Institute of Psychology. He serves as head of the Institute in rotation with Prof. Kleinert. His research focuses on judgment, decision-making processes, motor learning, and embodied cognition in sport and exercise contexts, combining dynamic systems theory with probabilistic approaches.
He currently holds editorial roles as Editor-in-Chief of Psychology of Sport & Exercise (since 2023) and Editorial Board Member of Sport Science Spectrum (2024–present). Notable awards include the DGPs Betreuungspreis für Doktorandinnen (2015) and a Research Professorship at London South Bank University (2015).
