معرفی
Markus Püschel is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. His research bridges engineering, computer science, and mathematics, focusing on automated software optimization and algebraic signal processing theory.
Education
- PhD in Computer Science, University of Karlsruhe, 1998
- MS in Mathematics, University of Karlsruhe, 1995
Research Interests
Püschel’s work includes the SPIRAL project, which automates the development of high-performance software for signal processing and scientific computing using compiler techniques, symbolic computation, and machine learning. His SMART initiative explores algebraic foundations of signal processing, leading to a novel axiomatic framework with applications in fast algorithm derivation and new signal processing paradigms.
