Prof. Markus Ludwig is a Professor of Economics, specializing in Empirical Economics and Econometrics at the Carl-Friedrich-Gauss Faculty of Technische Universität Braunschweig. He leads research on long-run growth, economic history, health, climate change, and political economy. Previously, he held postdoctoral positions at the University of Bayreuth and the University of Basel, where he earned his PhD in 2014. He is a CESifo Research Fellow and active in the German Economic Association’s Development Economics Research Group.
