Markus Luczak-Roesch

Markus Luczak-Roesch holds the Chair in Complexity Science and serves as Professor of Informatics at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He founded the c2Lab (complexity.wgtn.ac.nz) and co-directs tepunahamatatini. His research examines universal patterns in complex systems using methods from network science, computational social science, and NLP.

Luczak-Roesch investigates systemic change through analysis of statistically marginal events. His applications span psychology, digital humanities, climate science, and socio-technical systems design. His recent work explores Social AI at the intersection of complex systems and network science.
