Markus Lager

Markus Lager is a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Building Constructions (IBK) within the Cluster of Excellence IntCDC at the University of Stuttgart. He specializes in integrative computational design and timber construction, focusing on sustainability and climate-responsive architecture.

Notable projects include the 2021 campus extension for Private University Witten/Herdecke, a timber-constructed building with BNB Silver certification, and the Steinbeis House (Aalen University, in planning), a mixed-use office tower blending timber construction with urban design. He also contributed to multi-story residential timber buildings in Oberursel (2012) and Berlin-Weißensee (2013), emphasizing communal living and energy efficiency.
