Markus Georg Ophaelders-Dep is a Full Professor in the Department of Human Sciences at the University of Verona. He specializes in aesthetics, philosophy of art and music, and cultural studies. He directs the ORFEO Research Centre (Sound, Image, Writing) and has held academic positions since 2011. His research focuses on 19th–20th century German philosophy, cultural theory, and the intersections of art, politics, and technology.
- Education: Studied Philosophy, Psychology, and German Literature at universities in Berlin, Milan, and Bologna.
- Teaching: Teaches Aesthetics, Philosophy of Art/Music across undergraduate and graduate programs, including Cultural Heritage, Philosophy, and Interuniversity Arts degrees.
