Markus Frank serves as Professor of Design at Rosenheim University of Applied Sciences within the Faculty of Interior Architecture, Architecture and Design. He has held this position since 2005 and acts as Academic Advisor for the Bachelor's degree programme in Interior Architecture, maintaining active teaching responsibilities including courses on spatial design and architectural projects.
His educational foundation includes a carpentry apprenticeship (1983-1985), Interior Architecture Studies culminating in a Graduate Engineer (FH) degree (1985-1990), and a Master of Architecture (M. Arch.) earned in the United States through a Fulbright Scholarship (1990-1993). In 1993, he established the professional practice frankarchitekten - architecture + interior architecture, bridging academic theory with professional application.
Professor Frank's research centers on spatial design principles, trade fair construction methodologies, and architectural fundamentals, with particular emphasis on translating theoretical concepts into practical built environments through courses like Space 3 and Module Project 1.0. His work integrates educational theory with real-world architectural challenges.
Honors include the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship supporting his graduate studies in the United States.
