Marko Guberina is a doctoral student at the Department of Automatic Control, Lund University, and affiliated with ELLIIT: the Linköping-Lund initiative on IT and mobile communication. His research focuses on robotic hand-arm coordination for manipulation tasks, aiming to enhance robotic systems' efficiency by enabling adaptive grasping and controlled regrasping during object interaction. This work addresses limitations of rigid grasping to create more natural, intuitive robotic movements suitable for human-centric environments.
Marko is involved in the project Hand-arm coordination control for robotic interaction tasks (2022–2027) under the supervision of Prof. Y. Karayiannidis and Dr. B. Olofsson. He also contributes to the RobotLab LTH research infrastructure, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
His research interests include robotic manipulation, control systems, and regrasping strategies to improve manipulability and task execution speed. Marko actively participates in outreach, such as the Robotics Week for Schools 2023, promoting STEM education and robotics engagement.
