Mark van Gils is a Professor of Digital Healthcare at Tampere University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Technology, leading the Decision Support for Health research group. He also holds an adjunct professorship at Aalto University, where he teaches Signal Processing in Biomedical Engineering. His work focuses on applying machine learning, signal processing, and AI to solve healthcare challenges such as early diagnostics, patient monitoring, and treatment planning.
