Mark Zurolo is a Professor of Design at the University of Connecticut’s School of Fine Arts, Department of Art and Art History. He holds an MFA from Yale University and has professional experience at institutions like WGBH Educational Foundation, MetaDesign, and Imaginary Forces. His design practice spans identity, print, environmental, interactive, and motion graphics, with a focus on ecotonal spaces and 'intertopias.'

His research explores theoretical and formal investigations of transitional spaces ('intertopias'), blending design theory with ecological and cultural dimensions. He founded the Graphic Design in London education abroad program in 2012, serving as Resident Director and Visiting Tutor at Central Saint Martins. He has also been a critic and workshop leader at Maine College of Art, St. John’s University, and Yale University.
