Mark Yarmarkovich, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at NYU Langone Health and a member of the Perlmutter Cancer Center. His research focuses on developing curative immunotherapies for cancer patients, particularly through the discovery of tumor-specific targets using multi-omics approaches and the engineering of target-specific immune receptors via computational and experimental techniques.
His work at the intersection of genomics, proteomics, immunology, and computational biology has led to the development of peptide-centric (PC)-CAR T cells, which are currently in Phase 1 clinical trials in 2025. The Yarmarkovich Lab operates from state-of-the-art facilities in the CURE building in Manhattan, aiming to extend life-saving immunotherapies to all cancer patients by addressing current bottlenecks in the field.
