Mark Warman

Mark Warman is a Lecturer at the Royal Academy of Music, specializing in Musical Direction since 2002. A King’s College, Cambridge graduate, he began his career as Musical Director for The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole at age 23 and has since amassed over 100 professional musical theatre credits in West End and international productions.

• Notable conducting roles include Les Misérables, Sweeney Todd, The Lion King, and Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods revivals
• Musical Supervisor for Sondheim’s world premieres Saturday Night and Evening Primrose
• Collaborated with orchestras like Royal Philharmonic, London Sinfonietta, and BBC Concert Orchestra

As an orchestrator and arranger, he worked on TV/film scores including BBC’s Pride and Prejudice, May to December, and feature films The Childhood of a Leader and Vox Lux. He actively supports emerging musical theatre writers through workshops and mentorship programs.
