Professor Mark Vickers is a Chair in Applied Medicine at the University of Aberdeen's School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition. With a medical degree from Oxford and Biochemistry training at Cambridge, he transitioned from clinical haematology training at Hammersmith, Reading, and John Radcliffe Hospitals to academic leadership, becoming a professor in 2008 and director of the Academic Transfusion Medicine Unit in 2010.
