Mark Silverman is an Assistant Professor of Economics, specializing in the history of economic thought, law and economics, and Marxist theory. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a J.D. from NYU School of Law, and a B.A. from Swarthmore College.
His research explores themes such as conceptions of 'natural' in neoclassical economics, cost-benefit analysis in environmental law, and critical appraisals of Marxian overdetermination.
