Dr. Mark Ramsay is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of Choral Activities at Western University's Don Wright Faculty of Music. He conducts the Western University Singers and teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in music education.
- Education: Doctor of Musical Arts (Choral Conducting) and Master of Music (Choral Conducting) from the University of Toronto; Bachelor of Music Education (Piano) from the University of Prince Edward Island
Mark is also the Artistic Director and Conductor of Exultate Chamber Singers, an award-winning ensemble that has performed at Canada’s national choral conference (Podium) and released a sixth album titled At First Light. His research focuses on choral conducting pedagogy, community music initiatives, and Canadian choral composition.
He has published in journals from Choral Canada, American Choral Directors Association, and Canadian Music Educators’ Association, and contributed to three publications by GIA Publications. His collaborative work includes co-developing the Choral Connections column for the Canadian Music Educator journal.

- Exultate Chamber Singers: First place (Choral Canada’s National Competition for Canadian Amateur Choirs)
Mark actively supports music education through roles as a guest conductor, adjudicator for national music festivals, and former editor of Dynamic (Choirs Ontario publication). He also advocates for emerging composers and conductors through commissioned works.
