Dr. Mark Morris is a Reader in Molecular Oncology at the School of Biology, Chemistry and Forensic Science, Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Wolverhampton. He leads a research group within the Research Institute in Healthcare Science (RHIS), focusing on the molecular genetics of cancer development.

Research Interests: Dr. Morris investigates epigenetic gene dysregulation in tumour formation and metastasis, particularly DNA methylation and microRNAs in childhood brain and kidney cancers. His work also explores RNA-processing in tumours and the identification of new cancer therapeutics. His research spans molecular oncology, epigenetics, cancer genetics, and targeted therapy development.
Publication Trends: His recent publications focus on epigenetic mechanisms in renal cell carcinoma and glioblastoma, with an emphasis on methylation profiling, tumour suppressor gene silencing, and genetic predisposition syndromes.
