Mark Lumley is a Distinguished Professor of Psychology at Wayne State University, affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He has been a faculty member since 1991 and served as Director of Clinical Training until 2022. His research focuses on emotions, stress, and chronic pain interventions, particularly Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET) and Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). Lumley holds a Ph.D. from the University of Florida (1990) and B.S. degrees in Psychology and Biology from Wayne State University (1985).
