Dr. Mark Jeffery serves as a Full-Time Lecturer at ESCI-UPF (Escola Superior de Comerç Internacional), which operates under Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Spain. He specializes in the law, institutions, and policies of the European Union with particular expertise in Trade Policy, the Single Market, and Social Policy.
His research interests focus on the legal frameworks governing European integration, international trade regulations within the EU context, and the intersection of social policy with business operations across European markets. Dr. Jeffery brings practical experience from his 15+ years working with the European Commission, where he served as Head of Communication at the Commission Representation office in Barcelona.
At ESCI-UPF, Dr. Jeffery teaches core courses including Communication and Information Management Techniques and International Business Law for the Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Marketing program. His teaching combines theoretical knowledge with real-world applications drawn from his extensive professional experience in EU institutions.
