His research focuses on tumor microenvironment, cancer immunology, and cellular transformation, with a key emphasis on the FAM83 protein family and their role in EGFR/RAS signaling. He also investigates immune checkpoint inhibitor resistance and molecular antagonism between Oncostatin M and Interferon-beta in regulating cancer stem cell reprogramming. Current projects aim to identify therapeutic targets and strategies for metastatic TNBC.
Recent publications highlight his work on tumor immunology and MAPK activation in stem-like programs. Collaborative clinical trials include studies on GRADE (glycemia reduction) and ASPREE (aspirin effects). His lab's VBIM methodology has uncovered novel oncogenes and resistance mechanisms.
