Mark I. Seltzer is the Evan Frankel Professor of Literature and Distinguished Professor at the Department of English, University of California, Los Angeles. His work spans American literature, media studies, systems theory, and critical theory, with a focus on violence in modern society and art. He has held visiting positions at Harvard, Stanford, and Max Planck Institute in Berlin.
- Current research explores practices and aesthetics of suspense in contemporary culture.
- Lectured globally in Germany, South Africa, Brazil, South Korea, Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, Britain, Austria, and China.
Scientific Awards:
