Professor Mark Halaki holds dual roles as the Head of School and Dean of the Sydney School of Health Sciences at the University of Sydney's Faculty of Medicine and Health. His academic background includes a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, MSc in Biomedical Engineering, and a PhD. His research focuses on biomechanics, motor control, and clinical applications in movement disorders, aiming to enhance patient treatment through understanding movement differences in healthy vs. pathological populations. He leads the Motor Control & Skill Acquisition Research Group and Biomechanics Research Team, collaborating with centers like the Charles Perkins Centre and Sydney Southeast Asia Centre.
