His research examines how digital footprints, algorithmic control, and surveillance technologies erode individual autonomy, drawing parallels to dystopian narratives like Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World and Dave Eggers’ The Circle. Projects like Data Shadow (2015) and Invisible Voice (2020–present) highlight the commodification of personal data and the illusion of digital privacy.

Farid’s work has been funded by the European Commission (Horizon 2020, ST+ARTS), Creative Europe, and Arts Council England. He has exhibited globally at institutions like Ars Electronica, Pompidou Centre, and Sundance Institute, while engaging in media discussions on art and technology with outlets such as BBC, The Guardian, and The Telegraph.
