Mark Eys is Professor and Laurier Research Chair in Group Dynamics and Physical Activity at Wilfrid Laurier University, with joint appointments in Kinesiology and Psychology. His research examines group dynamics in sport and exercise contexts, focusing on team cohesion, socialization processes, and leadership in athletic groups.
He directs the Group Dynamics and Physical Activity Laboratory, investigating how group membership influences individual behavior and performance in youth sports, recreational teams, and elite athletics. Current projects explore parental influences on team dynamics and cooperative processes in individual sport environments.
