Dr. Mark Dunlop is a Senior Lecturer in Computer and Information Sciences at the University of Strathclyde, UK. He specializes in human-computer interaction (HCI), mobile systems usability, and digital health applications. His research focuses on mobile text entry, sensor-driven interaction, and health-related mobile technologies. He co-leads Strathclyde's Digital Health & Wellness Research Group and is affiliated with the Active Mobility Hub and Strathclyde Ageing Network.
Dr. Dunlop holds a PhD in Multimedia Information Retrieval from the University of Glasgow (1991). He has led EPSRC-funded projects such as OATS (text entry for older adults) and contributed to grants addressing active commuting, pandemic-era carer support, and stroke survivor aid. He has served as program committee chair for ACM CHI (2016-2017) and co-founded the MobileHCI conference series in 1998.
