Mark DeGennaro

Mark DeGennaro serves as an Associate Professor of Research and Managing Director of the Edtech Accelerator at the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education. Leading this seven-year initiative, he accelerates early-stage technology companies targeting K-12, higher education, and workforce learning sectors through strategic business development, product roadmap refinement, and ecosystem integration.

His research and professional focus centers on educational entrepreneurship, with expertise spanning business strategy formulation, product-market fit validation, sales and marketing optimization, and financing mechanisms for learning technology innovations. DeGennaro actively bridges edtech startups with educational institutions, investors, and service providers to address systemic challenges in technology adoption across global learning environments.

With direct mentorship of over 100 international edtech ventures, he contributes as a jury member for the TecPrize competition evaluating Latin American and Caribbean educational solutions, while leveraging prior executive experience from Situs Group, The Collingwood Group, and White & Case to inform strategic decision-making in academic technology commercialization.
