Mark Daymond

Mark Daymond is a Professor and Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Mechanics of Materials at Queen's University, cross-appointed from the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Department within the Faculty of Engineering & Applied Physics. He also holds the UNENE Research Chair in Nuclear Materials and is affiliated with the Department of Physics, Engineering Physics & Astronomy in the Faculty of Arts & Science. His research focuses on materials in high radiation environments (e.g., nuclear reactors and space applications), with expertise in micro-mechanisms of deformation and advanced particle scattering techniques. Key projects include the Reactor Materials Testing Laboratory (rmtl.engineering.queensu.ca), which explores materials behavior under extreme conditions.
