Mark Cannister

Mark Cannister is a Professor of Christian Ministries at Gordon College's School of Ministry, Theology and Biblical Studies. He holds a B.S. from California University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. from West Virginia University, and an Ed.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.

His research focuses on youth ministry, theological education, and Christian formation. He is the author of Teenagers Matter: Making Student Ministry a Priority in the Church and a contributor to numerous publications including Teaching the Next Generations and Adoptive Youth Ministry. He has led initiatives such as the Association of Youth Ministry Educators and served as senior editor of the Journal of Youth Ministry.
