Mark Balas is a Professor in the J. Mike Walker ’66 Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, holding the Leland T. Jordan Professorship. His research focuses on adaptive control systems, quantum systems, and aerospace engineering. Notable awards include the AIAA GNC Control Heritage Award (2018), ASME Fellow (2015), IEEE Fellow (2006), and AIAA Fellow (2001).
