Mark Antaki is an Associate Professor at McGill University’s Faculty of Law and Co-Director of the Paul-André Crépeau Centre for Private and Comparative Law. He holds a PhD in Jurisprudence and Social Policy from UC Berkeley (2005), following BCL/LLB degrees from McGill (1996). His research explores law as a linguistic and phenomenological human activity, with focuses on legal theory’s turn toward imagination, constitutional discourse analysis, and the disciplinary boundaries of law. He has held visiting roles at Kent and Griffith Law Schools, and fellowships at Stellenbosch ISA and McGill’s Institute for the Public Life of Arts and Ideas. He contributes to the Association for the Study of Law, Culture, and the Humanities and the Groupe de recherche sur les humanités juridiques.

Recent publications engage legal aesthetics, conscience conflicts in equality frameworks, and historical inquiries into democratic legitimacy.
