Marjorie Bagley

Marjorie Bagley is a Professor of Violin at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG), where she joined in 2009. She is an accomplished violinist with extensive experience in chamber music and orchestral performance, serving as Concertmaster of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra. Her professional career includes roles as first violinist with the Arcata String Quartet and as Associate Concertmaster/Principal Second Violin in the ProMusica Chamber Orchestra.

• Master of Music, Manhattan School of Music (studied under Pinchas Zukerman)

Research & Performance Interests: Bagley focuses on violin technique, pedagogy, and the performance of classical and contemporary repertoire. Teaching & Festivals: She has instructed at Meadowmount School, Perlman Music Program, Kinhaven Music School, and festivals in the U.S. and Czech Republic. Her summer activities include masterclasses and performances across universities and festivals, including the International Music Academy Plzen.
