Marjan Van Esbroeck

Marjan Van Esbroeck is a clinical pathologist and approved medical microbiologist serving as Unit Head of the Clinical Reference Laboratory, focusing on travel and imported medicine. She leads the National Reference Center for arboviruses, Rickettsia, Coxiella, and other pathogens. Her work emphasizes tropical medicine, diagnostics, and laboratory medicine.

Research Interests: Intestinal parasitology, arboviruses, malaria, schistosoma, and diagnostics for tropical diseases. Her projects include developing multiplex diagnostic tools and studying emerging pathogens like Monkeypox and Zika viruses.
