Mariusz Kwiatkowski is a Professor at the Institute of Sociology, University of Zielona Góra, specializing in social economy, revitalization, and social services for marginalized groups. He works with individuals facing homelessness, migration, and discrimination, emphasizing solidarity, trust, and transparency in public life.

His research focuses on overcoming systemic barriers, stigma, and inequality. He critiques opaque meritocracy in public sector appointments and advocates for models that drive positive social change, such as housing support programs and empowerment strategies for refugees.
As coordinator of the international Social Education on the Move (2020–2023) and participant in the International Social Capital Association (ISCA), he collaborates across disciplines and countries. His projects include Steps to Home, Power for Residents, U-Empower, and Need for Change, targeting social innovation and Horizon-level research.
